ynnoj
Well I thought about MacTernatives, it seemed great! Oh no wait, I just stole it from you :pThanks I'll let you know if I ever need help with designing. Are you better with Photoshop or HTML/CSS, or both? I'll look into it for the icons, thanks!! I hold the copyright now  I can't code for ****, but I'm handy with Photoshop.
Berserk87
i was going to say someone had already done this. V V V This is close but more for alternatives to commercial products. Can leverage some of their ideas though.http://alternativeto.net/
Avlor
That's a great idea, I'm thinkin seriously about switching to Mac as my laptop is becoming outdated, I would really appreciate having all that info in one place, so that I could start right away in a comfortable environment. Though I have no talent with Photoshop/CSS, count me in for testing as soon as the project hits that stage
PyX
Hmmm, I guess we will have to use AlternativesTo. It's great already... Sorry guys, but I realized I really need to make money this summer, as I don't have anything right now (I'm living at my parents' but still), and that made me have a project of another website that will pay quite a lot but it's taking pretty much all my time... Plus looking at real jobs and everything... I wanted to have a smooth summer with friends and all but I don't think it'll be even possible :s
