HouseMusicRules
Ok build 7100 was working perfectly for me since yesterday... this morning I decided to setup Media Centre so I could watch TV on my computer (didnt bother setting it up last night). Anyhow, I was able to play WMV video files prior on WMP but ever since I setup Media Centre I can no longer play the WMVs video files. Nothing else on my computer has changed. To confirm I reinstall build 7100... I played back a WMV file no problem. So then I went into Media Centre and set it up again for my TV tuner. Then went back to play back a WMV and guess what... it didnt work. This is the error message I get: When I press 'Web Help' I get this error on Microsofts page: Error details: You've encountered error message C00D1199 while using Windows Media Player. Anyone able to reproduce or confirm this? Should I report this back to MS? Thanks, HMR.

Instead of reinstalling every time you test it, try to save the state of your system and then bring it back to isolate the problem. Also try to use another media player, like Windows Media Player Classic without installing any third party codec, to see if it works. Another possibility would be to optimize Windows Media Center and see if it works :/
Blood.Sugar.Crazy
WOW build 7100 is a real mess. Glad I'm not getting this garbage.
HouseMusicRules
Ok, I tried using MPC Homecinema and I was able to play back the WMV video files no problemo... so it looks like Media Centre does something to mess up playing back WMV in Media Player. Anyone get the same issue?
