SuperHumanly
I have a XBox 360 connected to my 40" 1080p LCD HDTV(via HDMI) right now, and I also own a pair of Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers... is it possible to get TRUE 5.1 surround sound out of them, or would I need to buy a new set of speakers...? Here are the outputs on my TV (this is a diagram of MY actual TV): I currently have it wired like this: Speakers ----RCA to 3.5mm-----> TV(Audio-Out Variable Jacks)
XIII
You need an optical cable with amplifier and 5.1 speakers connected to the amplifier to get true 5.1 from your Xbox.
MR_Candyman
The logitech 5500's will give true 5.1 and will be a heck of a lot cheaper
MightyJordan
The logitech 5500's will give true 5.1 and will be a heck of a lot cheaper Than the X-530? :s Dream on! The X-530 retails for ?69.99, the Z-5500 retails for ?349.99! Whoops, it's the X-540, isn't it:p:p Still, that one is way cheaper at ?89.99. SuperHumanly
The Logitech 5500s are still around $300 USD. They don't make 5.1 recivers with optical inputs for less than that? i'll probably just stick with my X-540s & Matrix Mode....cheaper :p

I had the X-530 a couple of years ago for my bedroom on the 360. Worked like a charm even though it was only using composite audio ports. :)
