Basscadet
So I upgraded from Beta 1 to RC1 and noticed when I went to go delete my Windows.old folder that it had mushroomed to FIFTY Gigabytes. After installing RC1 I saw that my Windows folder was about 10 gigabyte in size. I am really good at keeping my system lean and usually just download videos and not install a lot of programs and junk, so how in the hell did my windows installation get so bloated like that? I regularly run CCleaner as well. I was shocked when I saw it grow like that and I really do not want my RC1 folder to get that big and chew up so much disk space. jbo
Well, it's hard to tell with so little information, but the fact that the upgrade path is not supported says something. One scenario could be a log file getting out of proportions, which is why I recommended Treesize, if you point it to your Windows.old folder it'll tell you which folders/files are taking the most space then you simply dive down the folders until you find something suspicious. Monotremata
Well if youre looking at the Windows.OLD folder like you said, its also got your entire Program Files, Program Files (x86) and Users folders in there on top of the 10-12GB Windows folder from your previous install. Did you bother even looking inside the folder to see the contents?
