7100 New Bug....anyone heared of it ?

Recommended Posts

I've installed 7100 yesterday & it's working more than perfect .

Today I discovered this bug...not sure if it's just me or if anyone else is having it too.

First : if I try to delete anything from the desktop it shows the confirmation for a permanent delete!

Second : On deleting an file from anywhere ( other than desktop) it doesn't show in recycle bin !

Someone was complaining about a similar problem, he said that fixed itself by renaming the Recycle bin to Trashcan or something else

(His problem was everything on the C: drive got deleted permanently but things on other drives were sent to recycle bin )

I'm thinking the Recycle Bin is all but disabled due to you having it on a 40gb partition - bin usually requires 10% of partition space, how much space is free on partition?

I have another issue now..I tried working with the " Don't move files to recycle bin" checked...but still deleted files are sent to recycle bin but not visible e there !!!!!

(btw my C: is only 40 GB but my HDD is 320 GB )

Have you tried re-installing build 7100?

A strange bug happened to me in a previous build, 7057 I think, where if I opened media player it would crash within 5 seconds, trying to add files to my library from another drive. Nothing would sort it, so I reinstalled and it was fine.

Really weird, I did this in exactly the same conditions, same DVD, same laptop, both times offline from the net.

I know its a completely different problem but it did just go away when reinstalling. Maybe try that?

I think i'll try that later...it's not really affecting my work with it :) just thought to share it with everyone.

I'll reinstall it next weekend & see what happens ( if no one finds a solution by that time ). Thank you all!
