gate1975mlm
Hey guys I talked about this bug/glitch a while ago and have since learned a little more about what is causing this. I found out at least in the latest build anyway "Build 7100 RC" that when you have the "RUN commend" shown in the Start Menu I am talking about the right side of the start menu it causes the Bug/Glitch that have have been talking about a while ago. If I remove the "RUN commend" from the Start Menu the Bug/Glitch goes away :) Please have a look at these 2 video to understand better what I mean. Video showing Bug/Glitch http://rapidshare.com/files/226909987/Bug.avi Video without Bug/Glitch http://rapidshare.com/files/226910715/Normal.avi As you can see when you click on All Programs the last item in the list displays for a second then goes away. This should not happen!! I would love to send this feedback to Microsoft but as you all know there is no Feedback button in the latest leaked build 7100 RC. Does anyone here work for Microsoft that can get this info to the Windows 7 team? I know this is not a "End of the world" kind of bug :) but I want Windows 7 to be as bug free as possible! Lord Ba'al
I have "Run" in my start menu, and the last item in All programs doesn't disappear.
gate1975mlm
I have "Run" in my start menu, and the last item in All programs doesn't disappear. Ok just an update on this bug! When you have 12 or more items in the start menu's right-side thats when you see the bug. 11 items or less and no bug.
pbcopter
I don't know about the bug, although I see it but you can get the Feedback Wizard by typing the following in to the Start Orb search box and hit enter. C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard
UncleSpellbinder
I'm definitely not seeing this bug. Watched the vids, and all is well here...
ozgeek
That's because you need to scroll, otherwise it will look clutered with the divider. I see the word "Creative" disappear but infact you just need to use the scrollbar to go down and it will come up.

UncleSpellbinder
If you remove and item or 2 from the right side of the start menu you will see the bug. Well, I'll agree with your statement in the firs post: "I know this is not a 'End of the world' kind of bug." If I have to jump through hoops just to reproduce it, it can't be that serious a bug. Still not seeing it.

spoonmann
I have the same problem on 2 computers I am running Windows 7 on. Anyone find a fix for this. I sent in feedback on it, but nothing yet.
Eric Veteran Posted May 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2009 I cannot reproduce this either. Did you upgrade from a previous version of Windows 7? That could be a problem. I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to W7 and everything works peachy. :)

I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to W7 and everything works peachy. :) Trust me you do have this issue if you are running Windows 7! Try adding more items to the right side of the start menu like Run commend, Network, Home Group When you add more then 11 items I see the bug. Or even sometimes less then 11 causes the bug. Its still not fixed in Windows 7 Build 7127 Window Vista however never had this issue!! I am starting to thinkthis is not going to be fixed before Windows 7 RTM. Ihave sent Microsoft lots of feedback about this bug so I am hoping it gets fixed before Windows 7 RTM. I hope they are reading my feedback! If I and some other people see the bug I don't see how Microsoft can't see it and of course fix it. Edited May 17, 2009 by gate1975mlm
Eric Veteran Posted May 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2009 I set it up the way it looked in your video. No dice. Again, did you upgrade from the beta, or do a clean install? If you did it as an upgrade, Microsoft will probably not attempt to reproduce it as that is not supported.
UncleSpellbinder
Trust me you do have this issue if you are running Windows 7! 1) Um.... NO, I don't. 2) I've tried every variation of your scenario. I cannot reproduce it. Like I said on the previous page, even if it is a bug (which I doubt), it's so incredibly difficult to reproduce that it doesn't matter. 3) I, too, would like to know if you did a clean install or an upgrade. If it was an upgrade, I would bet my left nut that is the issue. If it was a clean install, see #2. If you did it as an upgrade, Microsoft will probably not attempt to reproduce it as that is not supported. I always do a clean install. I never ever would install an OS right on top of an old one! Always reformat and install :) Can you upload a video of your All Programs menu? I see it .. but I don't see it as a bug as such .. Then what do you call it? Vista does not do it and Windows 7 does there for its a bug to me!! And if Microsoft also thinks this is not a bug then I will say they sure have bad design team working on Windows 7 :( I always do a clean install.
