Strange error in IE: "Unexpected call to method or property access&quo

Question

Hello everybody! I'm in the mid of realizing my my portfolio page. For what concerns the menu, I'm using a jquery script which creates a rollover effect. This works really well in Firefox, while it doesn't work at all in IE. This is the generated JS error:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30618; OfficeLiveConnector.1.3; OfficeLivePatch.0.0)

Timestamp: Wed, 29 Apr 2009 23:12:10 UTC

Message: Unexpected call to method or property access

Row: 49

Character: 7

Code: 0

URI: http://niccolomineo.altervista.org/js/rolla.js

Can you help me sorting it out please?

Does it work in IE 7? If so, don't worry about the error as IE8 is not mainstream yet (hell, there are still alot of folks on IE6 still).

If it seems to be a bug in jQuery with IE8, then notify the jQuery team.

Unfortunately I don't have IE7 anymore... can you (or anyone else) make a test for me on IE7?

It doesn't seem to be a bug, because in this very page you can see the same rollover script working like a charm. Maybe there is some kind of conflict between the scripts, but I'm no JS expert.
