What battery meter are you using?

It's the ThinkVantage Power Manager. If you have a ThinkPad it will work. With other models, I'm not sure.

ahh that sucks.. I love how it shows up so much better than the default vista/7 taskbar one.

have a look at my screenshot (previous page) - i use notebook hardware control... kinda similar to the thinkvantage one - and it works on any laptop
