JackBauer87
I have a lot of video files (divx etc...) on my computer. Im just curious what the smartest and most efficient way to get them on the tv is. I know they make divx dvd players, but was curious if theres some sort of media box thats affordable (sub-$100) that will let me stream from my network. Any recommendations? Coldgunner
Not sub $100 but PS3 does media streaming pretty well.
I am Reid
Not sub $100 but PS3 does media streaming pretty well. if you were going to suggest a gaming console to stream his videos why would you suggest the one that is 4x his budget. I could see why would say maybe an xbox360 as its is in the $1xx's, but not a ps3.
MrKuro
best and cheapest way to stream your media; a softmodded xbox with XBMC (used org xbox's are dirt cheap nowadays) probably the best media player for under $50 http://xbmc.org/
Anarcho-Capitalist
Philips DVP5992 is pretty much all you need for Xvid files. It plays them off a USB flash drive or hard drive and outputs to 1080p. It can be had on Ebay for 50 bucks.
