Windows 7 help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

A google search was no help whatsoever so I figured i'd come ask the people who actually know something :p

I've just installed the Windows 7 7100 build on an asus a6Jc, runs very smooth and had no issues with any of the drivers etc.

except a problem i've noticed, even RIGHT after I installed windows 7, before touching anything else, ctrl alt delete would not work. ctrl shift esc will though... same problem after installing all drivers..

usually when i hear this problem from someone the first thing i think is "some sort of virus/malware etc stopping it" but i dont see how this would be possible on a fresh copy of the build..

anyone got any ideas? i'm fresh out!

and for the record, i usually use ctrl shift esc instead anyway, but i'd rather fix the problem rather than just leave it..

Thanks everyone!

Does your Del key actually generate a 'Delete' keystroke, or a "." (ie, numeric keypad, or stuck in numeric mode on some laptops)...?

That might explain why other key sequences such as Ctrl-Shift-Esc still work...try the other Del key (assuming your keyboard has more than one)...
