ChronoStriker1
I can get the screen saver to turn on randomly but the monitor will not go into power save mode. Its really frustrating to have to turn the monitor off as I use the computer as a tv so at night i have to get up instead of just hitting the power button on the remote. I turned sleep off on the machine and Ive unplugged my wireless mice from the computer just to test but even with the screen saver set to 1min and power off at 3min I still have no luck. I remember having this problem in vista when it came out but I believe it was traced back to the photo screen saver, Im using blank as my screen saver and still no luck. Should also note the video card is a Nvidia 8800GT in case its a driver issue. Also I'm running Window7 64bit Edited May 1, 2009 by ChronoStriker1
tranceandy
Same for me with a GeForce 7900CS, driver version: 181.72, x86
ChronoStriker1
Happens with the 165.81 drivers as well so I don't know if its a driver issue (not to say the bug can't be in both).
rseiler
I saw this in Beta, with different hardware (ATI), and it was a driver issue for me.
Zarpraz
I just turn mine off when I'm not using it, I know a bit low tech.
ChronoStriker1
The problem for me seems to be a program I installed called synergy. I forgot that it tries to sync the screensaver with another computer. Decided to only run it when I need to.
