[REQUEST] Intel GMA950 Driver - from Win7 RC.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Earlier today i tried to mod the Intel 4 graphic series driver to work on Win7 RC , i got stuck in a BSOD loop upon startup - the only way was to uninstall it through Safe Mode.

Now , Windows refuses to install anything but the Pre-Release ( build 7000-7057) WDDM 1.0 driver claiming its the most up to date one - which is wrong.

The driver , v 8.15.10.1620 , is out-dated and causes some slowness and flickering through the windows GUI.

What i am requesting is the one that shipped with 7068 - 7100 , which is 8.15.10.1662. You could try utilities for exporting this driver for me such as DriverMax( freeware ) or a manual way if there is any.

Any help would be really appreciated - note that a windows update check yields nothing but the Pre-release driver i mentioned above.

As i remember, my 7100 found v...1620 from Windows Update and it says, Pre-Release WDDM 1.1.

Did it really ship with newer driver?

I assume this is for a mobile chip for a laptop? I actually downloaded the one from last year (version 15.8.3 (7.14.10.1504) to get full video capabilities back on my Inspiron E1505. With the drivers from RC none of the video editing programs would work and quit with an error that my graphic hardware is not capable of working with the software. With the old from Intel installed everything is working fine. Can't you download the ones from the Intel site again and try to reinstall? Mine is 64bit.
