Symphony
In Build 7100 I just noticed that all of the PC speaker's sound is coming from from the speakers or from the headphones. There are several utilities (monitoring, chat, mail programs) which uses the PC speaker to inform the user about an event. That's quite a good idea, because the user knows about the event even when he is not in front of his computer and using headphones for sound. But now all the PC speaker beeps are coming from the headphones at full volume (tested this with many programs which worked fine under XP and Vista). Anyone knows the details around this, or is there an option for this somewhere?
Ricardo Gil
I'm glad it's disabled by default in 7. I had to remove that stupid (and very loud) beep from Ubuntu.
Sirtuin
I disconnected beep wire physically because someone on Asus (or Antec?) thought it is nice to hear beep every time computer starts, even normally.
