mosi
Ok I'm using the 64bit version of 7100. I want to try and run Portable Ubuntu ( http://portableubuntu.demonccc.cloudius.com.ar/ ) in XPM but the same way a program would with an installer (ie. I can run it straight from my start menu, in XPM but without the XPM desktop) Portable Ubuntu only has 32bit binaries and won't run on vista/7 64bit (not sure about xp64 I formatted before I got chance to test it). It doesn't have an installer. You extract the files, then just run a batch file every time you want to run it. Is there a way I can run this direct from 7? SlasherKG
The only thing I could think of is to open the batch file and see the command it runs, if it is one line, you could create a new shortcut that has that command. In theory this should work from Win7 directly, but you could do it from XPM then put the shortcut in the All Users Start Menu>Programs folder to auto-publish a link into Win7's start menu.
