devHead
I just discovered that if you try to move a file to another location and it's locked or open by another program, Windows 7 actually tells you what program has it open! This is new, right? Even in Vista, you only got the "The file cannot be moved because it's in use by another program." Now Windows 7 tells you what program. bbfc_uk
Just tested it out with a Word document and you are right, don't remember seeing that in Vista. Thats quite useful if you don't know what program is using that file. +1 for Windows 7! :)
84Mark
Nice feature - it would be good on a network if it told you which user has the file open too.
MagicAndre1981
this feature was added with Vista. It is the Interface IFileIsInUse. This was discussed here in the forums several weeks ago.
ViperAFK
Yeah the feature is in vista but not too many programs use it and that's probably why you never noticed it.
Dashel
Why would it be application dependant to begin with?
