Got one issue with Win7

Recommended Posts

Win7 had a built-in driver for my HP all-in-one C5580 but it has no scanner option to remove dust and scratches like the HP software that came with it. Unfortunately, HPs software will not install on Win7. I've tried compatibility mode, etc, nothing. Does anyone no of a program that I can use with my printer to remove dust and scratches? Paint.Net, Gimp and Photoshop are not options here. The HP software did it automatically and thats what I expect with whatever replaces it. I wish there was a way to force the install :(

Only issue I have is my HP dv6408 laptop is acting up bad with the wireless. Sometimes it won't even connect, and just says windows was unable to connect to Gears. Nothing's changed and it worked great with Vista/XP/OS X/Ubuntu, etc.

Well, you won't know until you try. There's always System Restore if anything happens.

Edit: XP Mode should technically not interfere with win7, as it runs virtually.

In most cases you can't say this is an issue with windows7. Even though it just hit RC, its up to HP to get it's stuff to work with the latest and greatest...

Oh yea, I'm in no way blaming 7. What I meant was this is the only real problem I have since upgrading. It'll be interesting to see if HP decided to release a driver package or make us buy new hardware.
