jznomoney
@jznomoneyJust copy the files to the sd card from iso extracted? Or do we have to do something more? Will that work on a pen drive? I mounted the iso with a daemon tools. Then I copied them to the sd card. But it will work with a pen drive also. There are guides on the internet that show you how to install from a usb flash drive or any other kind. It is the same steps as you would for windows vista. here is one for example http://dotnetwizard.net/vista-stuff/tips-h...lashhard-drive/
surrealvortex
Thanks mate. Long procedure. I was hoping it would be as simple as copy to usb, boot from it. :( Worst thing is, I am on xp. So the procedure is even more complicated.
Scorbing
I have a spare netbook to try Win 7 RC out but I can't seem to find enough disc space to install. My netbook has a 16 gig SSD drive. I was able to install Win 7 Beta because I was able to clean up the previous XP installation. Now that I am doing a clean install of Win 7 RC with the Beta already installed, I don't know how to increase disc space for it. The Windows directory itself is 7.5 gigs and the Program Files is 350 megs. I don't know what else is taking up the rest of my hard drive. Don't even try it... DawnUnder2002
Just get yourself a 4Gb USB Key, use the following guide (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd535816.aspx) to use diskpart from Vista or Windows7 Beta and copy the installation files after that to the USB Key. Make sure BIOS is changed to first boot from USB drive, installation will take about 20 minutes total. Running Windows 7 RC on my Asus 1000H with 2Gb RAM without any issues, it is faster than XP and easier to work with. Those saying W7 is not netbook friendly, get a clue. blunden
[...] Those saying W7 is not netbook friendly, get a clue. Indeed. Even 1 GB ram works very well on my laptop. Feels just as fast as XP. Still, it's preferable to have 2 GB or more of course.

subferno
Thanks folks, got it installed and running fine on my netbook. My burned Win 7 dvd wasn't booting so I completely forgot about formatting my harddrive to install the OS easier. Anyways, I reburned the dvd, it booted and installed just fine.
