maash
Engadget does it, Gizmodo does it . I think its high time Neowin starts to Liveblog events as its also become a primary news source for a lot of stories and technology breaking news.
DaveLegg Developer Posted May 6, 2009 Developer Share Posted May 6, 2009 In the past we have done live blogs from events. That's what the live navigation tab is for :p
Sean B. Veteran Posted May 6, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 6, 2009 Are you refering to events like this, this, and this? If so the only reason why we were able to do "Live Blogging" in the above articles is because other websites provided a live feed of the event we were covering. The reason why Engadget and Gizmodo do a lot of live blogging is because they are actually invited to these events and attend in person. For events like CES, WinHEC, PDC, etc etc we do loads of live blogging, as Dave mentioned earlier. We have a "Live" section for events we cover in person. maash
I should think as i said, that Neowin has become the sort of news outlet that they should be invited now to these events. essentially you guys should lobby to be invited. if you guys get 1-2 invites and then write a good article, it will result in even more
Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted May 13, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted May 13, 2009 I should think as i said, that Neowin has become the sort of news outlet that they should be invited now to these events. essentially you guys should lobby to be invited. if you guys get 1-2 invites and then write a good article, it will result in even more Thanks. That is the intention of all of this, to be the news outlet that is being sourced around the net, rather than just a C&P web site. The new articles are still new-ish and will take some time to evolve and become the spotlight and focus, like many other popular web sites. Once our status is known more so than just Windows 7 news, the invites will roll in, and i'll (hopefully) roll out their to bring the news back home!
