Typhon
Thanks for the reply LarryTo be honest, I think a Mac sets you back more than a gaming PC would hah Not if you buy good stuff :)

Sikh
@Typhoon: My friends Last Gen mac, can run anygame in high. He had crysis in High at @1280 which looks VERY GOOD in my opinion seeing how I game in 1024 for ANYGAME and have a card that handles 1280 for anygame too. My point is, crysis gave him 45 frames average. So thats awesome for a mac. The newer macs do better I know that.

I remember a guy playing HL2 on a Macbook Pro like 3 years ago.
cropcircles
I really prefer the mouse, keyboard combo. But thats just me... +1 Although I will say some games such as Tom Clancy's HAWX is a definate Xbox 360 PC controller game.
Thirtythree
To me personally, no.Gaming on a computer, in my opinion, just doesn't make any sense at all, especially if you already have a console. He listed FPS games as what he would like to play. No console can do a FPS properly without a mouse and keyboard. Cherry coat it all you want, I'd run through anyone using a controller. +1Although I will say some games such as Tom Clancy's HAWX is a definate Xbox 360 PC controller game. I just use my Logitech Dual Action controller for that.

DirtyLarry Veteran Posted May 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 9, 2009 well if i got a gaming pc i wouldn't get titles like uncharted 2, or infamous or gran turismo when it comes outdamn decisions decisions Yeah man honestly if you need to get rid of the PS3 in order to get a gaming PC, do not do it. Not enough strong PC titles coming out to warrant that move. IMHO PS3 has the strongest line up the second half of 2009 of 1st Party games, starting with InFamous that actually hits the end of this month. So if anything, wait a few months save up some more money so you can keep the PS3 and have a PC. To me, that is the only way to do it, this way no regrets at all. Hell, even throw an XBox Arcade in their at same point if you can. ;) This way ALL bases are covered.

However, I would never get a XBOX360, even if I got XBOX LIVE for free, or even if it is modable and you can get free games for it or even if Perfect Dark n64 version has been confirmed :)

PS3 is going to really have a good year I believe. But with that said, definitely huge benefits to having a gaming PC as well, so hold off, let prices drop, and enjoy... Here is what you can get for 500 USD (without PSU or LCD): I expect to get something twice as powerful (incl. 24'' 1920x1200 lcd, keyboard/mouse combo, power supply incl.) for $1200. twist
wait till wed night and check what ncix has on sale this week, you might be able to get some stuff pretty cheap, and you won't have to pay pst. or just head over to canada computers (there is a loc in toronto i think) and see what they have., they usually have good prices, but garbage service. if you have to order, be sure to check canadacomputers.com first, 6.99 shipping almost always makes thier cases and stuff cheaper.
