Looks brilliant. Rockstar know how to make a trailer.

The game is set in the beginning of the 20th century; it focuses around a former outlaw, John Marston, who is sent across the troubled American Frontiers to help in bringing the rule of law. The game will utilize open-world gameplay similar to the ones of Grand Theft Auto series with sandbox environment and ability of free roaming. The variety of environment will include frontier towns, prairies and mountain passes.

Going by the trailer the game has some potential.

I just hope that it gets put on PC too  360/PS3 look good, but my PC can destroy even the best graphics that consoles can do...

It will be interesting to see how they do the world and travel. In GTA, it's a city, brimming with contents where you drive around fairly quickly. In a Western taking place around year 1900, if they do a full open world, there will be a lot of rural areas that realistically has to be a bit sparse with people and possible variation. Either they can do it realistic, or maybe just shrink the distances so there is always something interesting behind that mountain. Another way is also letting the player choose to either ride around in the open world, or pick a destination on map and go there more quickly (speed-up travel).

Never having played the original, I don't have much experience in the series. The only two solid westerns I have ever played (and really enjoyed) were the two Call of Juarez games. I can't wait to try this out.

Me neither. But the first game was finished off by Rockstar after they bought it off Capcom. It also wasn't an open world game. And apparently none of the characters appear.

Ha ha ha, I didn't know all of that! Sounds like I won't be out of the loop after all.

Alright, I've never been a big fan of the old west genre in films or games, but this looks like it will be pretty good. I'll keep my eye on it
