snark_be
Hi, I'm running Windows 7 RC1 in 64 bits. I noticed on the Asus support page for my motherboard (ASUS P5Q-E) that Intel Matrix Storage Manager 8.9.0.1014 beta has been released for Windows 7 in 32 bits and 64 bits. Is it advised to install it instead of the built-in SATA AHCI drivers from Microsoft? Would this increase the speed of the drive access? Same question about the Intel Chipset Inf Update Program v9.1.1.1012 beta. Is it better for performance compared to the existing drivers? Thanks! JustGeorge
I heard of stability problems related to using the Intel Matrix Storage driver. Would stay away from it, IMO.
