Wow

I just went from Windows 7 build 7000 to 7100 and I must say, I've just been amazed. IE8 no longer takes 3 seconds to open up tabs and my 1.5 year old laptop has had it's battery life go from 1 hour and 15-30 minutes to two hours.

Also is it normal to have a big difference in boot load times from 32 bit to 64 bit?

My desktop booted up in 25-30 seconds on Windows 7 beta x86 but now in 64-bit it boots up in 45-50 seconds.

Some other changes I noticed are that you can now customize the start menu to have a downloads menu button which was one of the things I sent feedback to Microsoft on and another is that when you press Alt F4 when you have the desktop selected it no longer deletes your gadgets and it prompts you to the shutdown screen and that was another thing I sent feedback on.

Overall, nice job Microsoft and +1000 for listening to us.

Yeah, I'm loving my RC build on x64

Huh? Can you elaborate more on this? Sounds interesting

Right click your start orb. Hit properties, then Customize. And you can check what you want to show on the start menu. Including a link to Downloads (which I also feedbacked on!). There's quite a few things on the list.

Yeah, what I love now is that you can have "Video" on the start menu...don't even get me started with the "Libraries" that thing is genius...especially when you have home server... you can point your music, documents and video folders to the server...just wow, it's awesome!

Wow awesome! I don't need to constantly go to "My computer", drive D, downloads anymore :) (or go using the Libraries)
