Crazysah
Hey guys, I haven't bought any games since Need For Speed: Most Wanted. The last game I played and have is Burnout Paradise. Recommend me 2 types of games; 1. Games that I can buy online with paypal. 2. Games that I should buy directly from the store. Thanks Crazysah
Sikh
Left 4 Dead, Counter Strike Source, Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2. All Steam all great prices. You can get the "Orange Box" for about $20 or 30 i think on the steam store and you get Portal, Half life 2, Half Life 2 episode 1 & 2, TF2. For counter strike you pay $20 and get HL2: Death Match & Loast Coast, Day of Defeat source, included in a package. Both great deals. L4D itself is just a GREAT Game. Rest depends on you. Sikh
@Lynx: It is it is. But I havent gotten into it much. And there arent any "only n00bs" servers so none of my characters are upgraded :(. @Crazy: Nice, did you ever preload L4D last weekend and try it out? If you didnt come on! The benefit of steam is there "free to game" weekend!
Victor Rambo
Plants Vs Zombies (Only Rs 200 :p)
protocol7
Last game I bought was Mirror's Edge. The story mode is quite short, but the time trials and speed runs mean there's plenty to do once you "finish" the game. You can get it from Steam but the last time I checked the Pure Time Trials Map Pack doesn't work on Steam copies. But you can also get it from the EA store. Crazysah
More suggestions? I am getting L4D now... I need other suggestions though...
Yorak
Yes you must get L4D, TF2, and I just started playing Plants vs. Zombies and it is totally radical, dude! The new Red Faction will hopefully be out soon. There is also this game called Sauerbraten that I have been playing. It is a free FPS based on the Cube 2 engine. The download was only like 300MB but it looks pretty good. It is super fast-paced and kind of old school. :D
allanon09
Another for Plants vs. Zombies! Only 9.99 on steam.
Minifig
Tf2. It's one game I keep coming back totime and time and time and time again.
Crazysah
I have the Orange Box guys! Stop recommending games that I already have! Games I plan on buying: L4D and DoD:S. Recommend me some other games...
DirtyLarry Veteran Posted May 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 8, 2009 While not fantastic, I thought Crysis Wars was actually decent, and I am pretty sure they are releasing some Crysis package deal with all of the games together including CW, might already be out. Ummm, Call Of Duty World At War is not a bad game either.
raider360
How about Battlefield 2 or more futuristic Battlefield 2142? And have you played Call of Duty 4? It has a great story & online mode. COD4 is available through the Steam Store and BF games are through the EA Store.
Crazysah
I have Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Call of Duty 4: MW or Call of Duty: WaW?
Victor Rambo
Go for COD4 MW if you haven't played it yet.
DrunkenBeard
Well if you like "cool-games" with beautiful graphics and requiring some thinking, you could go "World of Goo" and/or "Braid". If you like P&C genre or want to discover it, try "Runaway".

Perfect game combo... :D But the question you have asked is very general, more information on what you want would be good. Other than those games I would recommend Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne, Starcraft, Spore, World of Warcraft. :p
Crazysah
Go for COD4 MW if you haven't played it yet. Yeah I guess I will get that... EDIT: @ Golferjim: I already have all WoW games but not Spore... I don't really want Spore at the moment. EDIT2: Is Company of Heroes any good? Yusuf M. Veteran Posted May 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 9, 2009 Here's what I recommend: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Company of Heroes, ": Opposing Fronts, and ": Tales of Valor Crysis: Maximum Edition Left 4 Dead Mass Effect World in Conflict and ": Soviet Assault You'll need a fairly high-end PC to play the games at high settings. In any case, they're all great games.
Crazysah
I have almost made up my mind... Lastly, how about Empire: Total War?
That Guy Veteran Posted May 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 9, 2009 I have almost made up my mind... Lastly, how about Empire: Total War? Personally, when I tried the demo, it didn't really appeal to me. However, if you are in any doubt, give the demo a go and see what you think. And my recommendations would be: Left 4 Dead Crysis Crysis Warhead Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Mass Effect However if you haven't already tried them, I would also take a look at these: S.T.A.L.K.E.R S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky The Witcher Bioshock Grand Theft Auto IV Obviously, I wouldn't recommend you buy all of these, just naming a few that I liked that others hadn't mentioned. Sikh
COD4 FTW. THats a hands down choice. Always choose it over WAW. L4D another win(Got my tshirts I ordered today! I got the Horde(black) and Infected(Green) and a Half Life 2 tshirt of the valve store. Let me tell you, great quality, great graphic(nice and big covers the tshirt and looks aweosme). Worth the $20 I paid for those. Plus all my friends loved the Horde one. L4D'ers and Non L4D'ers. Other then that, Crysis, Bioshock, etc. I hope your computers awesome. I know in india prices are ****ing ridiculous. Thats why im glad im not there haha.
