raider360
do people still play bf2? For sure! And new patch is coming soon from EA (it's currently in beta state) so hopefully it will fix some bugs, and actually I still prefer BF2 over 2142. :p Call of Duty 4: MW or Call of Duty: WaW? Not sure about COD:WaW but I bought COD4 from the release date and still play MP. Also thumbs up for the GTA4! Amazing storyline and multiplayer. Crazysah
Personally, when I tried the demo, it didn't really appeal to me. However, if you are in any doubt, give the demo a go and see what you think. And my recommendations would be: Left 4 Dead Crysis Crysis Warhead Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Mass Effect However if you haven't already tried them, I would also take a look at these: S.T.A.L.K.E.R S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky The Witcher Bioshock Grand Theft Auto IV Obviously, I wouldn't recommend you buy all of these, just naming a few that I liked that others hadn't mentioned. I have decided to get these games and to get them in this order. 1. Left 4 Dead 2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3. Crysis 4. Mass Effect 5. Company of Heroes 6. Empire: Total War 7. Crysis Warhead 8. Bioshock A good order? Thanks Crazysah Edited May 9, 2009 by Crazysah

BoneyardBrew Member Posted May 9, 2009 Member Share Posted May 9, 2009 (edited) I would also highly recommend Steam as a method of online purchase. They always have great deals, and give you many benefits to having an account, including achievements for games, a community, etc. As far as games go: Left 4 Dead Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Team Fortress 2 Starcraft and Starcraft BroodWar Red Alert 2 and Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge Age of Empires III I can't recomment Bioshock, as I thought it was boring and extremely repetitive, although some can disagree. That Guy Veteran Posted May 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 9, 2009 I have decided to get these games and to get them in this order.1. Left 4 Dead 2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3. Crysis 4. Mass Effect 5. Company of Heroes 6. Empire: Total War 7. Crysis Warhead 8. Bioshock A good order? Thanks Crazysah That seems a good order to me, although it really is down to preference. You might want to move some of the non-FPS games a little higher up the list, just for the sake of variety as you wait to buy the others, but other than that, go for it (Y). And again, I'd recommend Steam where possible. Their service is excellent, and you can buy all but Mass Effect on it, which you will need to buy through the EA Store if you want to purchase it digitally. Hope all goes well, Sazz

It's a collection of all the Crysis games (Crysis, Crysis: Warhead and Crysis Wars). Also, you should play Crysis: Warhead right after Crysis. That seems a good order to me, although it really is down to preference. yert*
Bioshock, Mass Effect, and COD4. Fallout 3 is also quite popular but I'm not a big fan. It's an FPS RPG like Mass Effect, but I think it's boring. Steam is great, but you can often find better deals elsewhere unless Steam is running a clearance special which they often do. COD4 and Fallout3 are 49.99 but they are probably much cheaper at places like Amazon.com.
That Guy Veteran Posted May 10, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 10, 2009 Yep, I also recommend Steam. You don't need to buy Mass Effect through EA. You can purchase it on Steam (click here). It must only be available in the US, because it's unavailable for me. However, if you can buy that through Steam too, then it's even better. Which non-FPS games do you recommend? 2. I should buy all these games from Steam? Recommended? I will always have the game where ever I go? No problems? Thanks Crazysah I always try to purchase my games from Steam so I don't have to worry about discs. Every time I reload my computer I just install Steam again and I have the option of installing any of the games I have purchased through Steam. It is super easy. I just make sure I remember to turn on auto-login so that if I don't have an internet connection I can still log in (Steam will ask you if you want to sign on in off-line mode). Crazysah
Yeah. I guess I will try and buy a game from Steam and see how it goes. Can someone recommend some non-FPG games?
