swiftflo
I had a problem with my PC not staying asleep after either pressing the sleep button on the keyboard or Sleep in the Start/Shut down menu. This is how I cured it :- Control Panel>Device Manager>Right Click Network Adhaptor>Left Click Properties>Left Click Power Management>uncheck "allow this device to wake up computer". May not cure yours, but it has mine. Usual disclaimers.

Deihmos
The RC has an option enabled to wake by your network card. Go to device manager and disable it.
