lee31
Microsoft will test the Windows Update tool starting Tuesday 12th of May said Microsoft spokesman, Brandon LeBlanc in a blog post. Users may receive as many as 10 test updates and just like those received in the Beta they do not offer any new features or system changes or fixes however unlike the Beta some may be installed automatically. http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/windows7/...ndows-7-rc.aspx http://blogs.technet.com/mu/archive/2009/0...ndows-7-rc.aspx

Livin in a box
they are checking to see if they can update other parts of the OS with out making it crash or anything like that Oh, now I see. They should just do it internally.
hdood
Oh, now I see. They should just do it internally. Maybe they should do all the testing internally and not have any open betas for any Microsoft products at all. That'd be a great way to make quality products. Get real, pre-release versions don't exist to give you free software, they exist so Microsoft can find and eliminate problems they just can't find internally. Of the billion Windows PCs in the world, most are not at Microsoft.
