Windows 7 x64
EDIT: Well the asshats at YouTube deleted the video, for violation, how it is a violation when it was one of the developers that leaked it! MightyJordan
nice , I wish they would let the fans continue the project. Agreed. They just need to look at OpenTTD and that alone shows what the fans can do to a classic game.
Richard Hammond
For a game that was in development for over a decade it still looked unfinished.
sundayx Veteran Posted May 10, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 10, 2009 I can't believe no one's looking to fund this. They'll make so much cash it's not even funny.

RevelMore
That is sad, So i guess the game won't be completed? That's truly an Epic Failure..
Aldur82
It is still entirely possible that Duke Nukem Forever will be finished, as 3D Realms were just developing it. They don't own the rights to it. The would be Take-Two (people behind Bioshock, Max Payne, GTA to name but a few major titles). The reason 3D Realms collapsed is Take-Two said they weren't going to fund development of DNF anymore, as it has taken way too long to finish. So it's entirely possible that Take-Two will find another company to finish developing DNF, as they own the rights to publish the game too. I'm also more than positive that all this (and more) has already been said in the dozens of other DNF/3D Realms thread that have popped up over the last few days. If Take-Two was really smart, they'd get id Software to finish it, but I have a feeling that if they do want it finished it'll be farmed out to some no name development company running out of someone's garage. Xerxes
I missed the video but I'm betting it was fake. Duke Nukem Forever is a perfect example of a personal project, it just never gets finished. People seem to forget DNF was a personal project taken up by the devs at 3D Realms and was paid for out of their own pockets and since it was not an official project anything else they were working on (!) at 3D Realms took priority, so it would of been off and on all the time and with no real deadline it's a wouder anything got done at all. Duke Nukem was good back in the day, best leaving him there I think. That is my 2 cents, take with a grain of salt.

Cheshire Cat
As 3d Realms are now dead, I would say that the only studio I'd trust with finishing this game would be id. Bit of a shame really as I'd sure pay full price on release for that game shown in the video, I'd even go all out and get any Special Edition/Collector's Edition version of it..... So many modern FPS games lack the humour that made Duke Nukem games fun.
Jase
Duke Nukem Forever is like 90% done.. Take-Two just have to find an alternative to 3D Realms.. sad though.

Bhav
As IGN said on their podcast...Duke Nukem Forever can never come out. 3DRealms owns the rights to the game itself. Take Two owns the rights to the game "Duke Nukem". 3DRealms can't go to another publisher because only Take Two has the rights to release it, and Take Two can't give development to another developer because only 3DRealms has the right to develop it. So...it's never coming out. If it leaks, Take Two will sue the crap out of whoever caused the leak lol.
