Zwinky
Hi, I want to use xpmode for running a legacy accountancy app. This is a dos application and thus does not have a .exe shortcut but a .bat shortcut. Adding a .exe shortcut works fine and I don't see anything in the exclusion list that has anything to do with .bat files ... Any suggestions ? thnx ! XerXis
yeah, don't run a full xp installation for a dos application. Use dosbox :)

Dashel
I'm curious how to do this as well, and even more generally how its application detection logic works. Sometimes it takes awhile to show up. Other times it seems quite selective about the applications it chooses to populate from the host, even when dealing with exe's. (like explorer.exe)
Raa
Can't force it in the compatibility mode tab at all? :/
Zwinky
I've had an insider meeting with HP & Microsoft about Win7 today and I've asked them. It won't work nor will it ever ...
SlasherKG
I haven't tried this, but could you create a shortcut to the XP command prompt, then simply run the bat file in the command prompt?
