AndyD
This seems pretty silly. I can get adding in what has added or changed but I don't get why it needs to be from scratch every time
drbobiii
Agreed. I wouldn't really mind if it did a quick check, but spending 15 minutes or so to determine that no changes have been made? Not cool.
AndyD
The problem is that no media shows up while it's going through the whole media building process. And also, even though I turned off the option to not search for info / cover art, it does it.
Preppy Veteran Posted May 12, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 12, 2009 In the RC version if the library needs to rebuild you may need to manually stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service and *then* use the Tools:Advanced:Reset media library option. That's fixed post-RC as far as I'm aware.
Techno_Funky
Oh My and I thought it was continuing to add my media since the last time I closed the player it did not finish.
InPCHell
Yeah, this ****es me off. As soon as I turn the PC on, it sounds as if it's defragging or scanning files for viruses.
