Windows Live Mail 2009 Client Problems

Recommended Posts

Hi I know this isn't a question directly about Windows 7, but I'm having this problem now, when I've decided to use Windows LIve Mail 2009 to replace accessing my Hotmail through webpage in IE8. So I finally get Windows Live Mail configured and working correctly. The problem is the Hotmail account I use has over 27,000 unread/messages in the inbox. When syncing live mail, it keeps wanting to download all 27,000 messages. I want it to stop trying to do that. I don't want to delete all the messages in the inbox permanently either. What are my options? I tried looking in the Windows Live Mail configuration options, it has nothing that would fix it. I tried marking all the messages as "read" but when syncing, it still insists on wanting to download all the messages, is there a fix to this? How can I move all my messages in Inbox to like a backup folder? Please reply, thanks.

Oh I just select all inbox and moved all those messages to a "Backup" folder, its taking like 3+ Minutes but hopefully this solves my problem once and for all.
