iZoom
I've recently tried updating to the latest Windowys 7 x64 drivers for my 8800 GTS 640MB and they are still glitching, even though they are WHQL. I'm referring to the 185.85 drivers from nvidia's driver page. I load up CS:S and after about 15 seconds, walls and floors and even players start flashing in/out of view. I go back to 182.50 and no problems whatsoever. Anyone else? I tried to get a screen shot of what was happening, but in the screen shot, everything looks dandy. I have the exact same problem, I also have to disable my multi-monitor setup just to get the game to even launch otherwise hl2.exe crashes. No problems with any other games however. iZoom
I tried using Google to see if other forums had users experiencing any issues with these drivers and only found one other forum. They had problems with other games though, not CS:S. Guess its back to 182.50 until they release the next set of drivers. I think its only a placebo, but I felt like these drivers were causing a slow-down too.
KeeperOfThePizza
seems my good old nforce4 Ultra AMD won't be supported anymore ... :( Dont worry about that. I'm using Nforce Ultra 3 chipsets and Vista/7 runs just fine.
Flaggie
Isn't this a quite old message, the drivers are from almost two weeks ago. And I think they are quite bad. When I play mkv files they were very pixelated. just reverted to my very very old drivers and then it works fine.
soonerproud
seems my good old nforce4 Ultra AMD won't be supported anymore ... :( I have used Windows 7 on several nforce 3 and 4 motherboards and all work fine with Windows 7 out of the box. One bit of advice, use the realtek drivers from realtek and not Windows Update. The ones on WU have given me problems on both nforce3 and 4 motherboards. The Vista drivers are fine to use.
