John_da_leecher
This application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see that application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. Now I have heard it is because I am missing the vcredist but it doesn't want to install so I am wondering what else it could be or if anyone else on windows 7 gets or got this error and what they did to fix it. Thanks, John

san.W10
did you install the game in compatibilty mode? open dvd folder, find the "vcredist", right click it & use "XP SP2" compatibilty mode to install. (if not availale in DVD, get it from here "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)")

Sethos
is the game GTA4? On a side not, you don't need a tutorial anymore to install GTA IV on W7, on the RC it's installed exactly like under Vista and it works perfectly.
