bishy
Hi All, I am using Windows7.....very good, but have one small problem that I hope some kind soul can help me with. I have an external HDD (with mostly music) which I leave connected to my computer most of the time. My question is, is there a way to turn off system restore JUST for the HDD so that I do not end up with a (useless) growing 'system volume information' file on the external drive? It was easy with XP, but I cannot find a way with Windows7. Thanks in advance for any help with this. bishy.
slinky333
Rigt-click on Computer -> properties. On the left pane click on system protection, choose an hdd from the list click on configure and choose turn off.
