Sailorcancer
So today my free trial of NIS expired and they want me to enter in a key. I did not receive a key from Norton at all when I first signed up. So I went back and signed up and they gave me one. I entered it in and it comes right back and says there is no response from Symantic servers. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it is still expired. I tried Norton 360 and hated it. I don't know why but it REALLY slowed down my start up time and even though I was doing updates to it the program still thought I had not updated it in 72 days and that Symantic server thing kept coming up. What can I do to get this working? If I cannot out of all the security from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/antivirus.../windows-7.aspx which are good? I want a firewall, antivirus, and something SMART. I tried some of the first ones (Kaspersky (this ended up restarting during the install and came back saying it was licensed to the Russian Federation instead of me), McAffee, AVG (was not free at the time)) and did not like them because EVERY TIME something tried to access the internet it would freak out. I have had Norton for a while and iolo and for a few years I haven't had them freak out over stuff accessing the internet. What about the newer ones? Like Panada? Are they any good? Thanks. LiquidSolstice
Comodo Firewall is supported on Win7, and I'd suggest NOD32 4.0. Works quite well.
