TEX4S
If this has been posted before - I am sorry. I just upgraded my fiance's laptop to Win7 RC - but it refuses to accept the password credentials to connect to a network printer. My desktop (XP64) is connected to a Canon MP610 - I have selected to share this printer. With XP and Vista - connecting was a piece of cake ... now....I dunno I have changed the User Credentials in XP(my desktop) to no password needed, to adding a password - Regardless, when I try to Browse for the printer, it will not accept any password/user name - The laptop name is Denise, the desktop name is TEX4S, user name Chris The laptop repeatedly asks for user name/ password for Denise-PC/Chris Any ideas ? Has something changed, or am I missing something ? I even took the laptop off of wireless and had it hard-wired to the LAN... Everything I do results in not being able to "see" past the desktop (or whats is shared by it) I disabled the firewall in XP (my desktop) to see if that was the issue but nothing changed. I can see the computer, just not access/see any shared devices. Edited May 13, 2009 by TEX4S
TEX4S
I want to add it appears the problem is that its not accepting the username/password for my desktop whereas there is no password (I simply use autologon on my desktop with no password) I thought that might be the issue, so I gave my desktop user name a password - still nothing
