NEVER85
Pretty bad they can't at least include Canada. The Canadian border is what, 120 km or so from Redmond?

Legal issues are the only thing stopping it from going to other countries as I said. It has nothing to do with how close something is to MS. Kevin.
Sweet! I fit the criteria exactly, so I downloaded the program and hope to receive a copy myself.
FaiKee
Just to remind the lucky dudes, last paragraph: "We would appreciate it if you continue your participation in the Windows Feedback Program after receipt of the gift and send us data using the automated instrumentation software on the commercially released version of Windows 7. However, it is not a condition of the gift. We may offer more incentives if you do." So don't forget to run that.....Office 2010?Windows 8?.......who knows lol. :woot:
Nemo Live
Sweet! I fit the criteria exactly, so I downloaded the program and hope to receive a copy myself. I'm not sure if its still open. But for ishts 'n giggles the email that I sent in back in Jan to register was winpanel@microsoft.com. Subject and body was random. I'm postive that they do registration check when you install the program to cross reference your email to make sure it valid.
Eric Veteran Posted May 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2009 The e-mail I got says, " You signed up for the Windows Feedback Program through the Windows 7 beta Community Preview Program" as one of the criteria, so I guess you have to be on their "list" and use the e-mail address you're signed up with to be eligible for the presents. Also, the beta WFP did mention copies of Vista Ultimate. I'm not sure if this one is additional or if they changed the present.

nozen09
Registration is closed, but I managed to get in back when it was still open for registrations into the program. I registered for Windows Vista Feedback Program back in 2007 (got the gift in 2008). I just check my information in Windows Feedback Program website (http://wfp.microsoft.com/PanelistUpdate.aspx) and i could submit my information again to participate in Windows Feedback Program (not completely sure if submitting information to participate for the Windows feedback program work). Does that mean I could install the windows feedback program to make the pc status active and get a copy of Windows 7 or do i have to enroll for windows 7 beta windows feedback Program which i did not do. Quillz
It's a sure bet that the beta participants will get free copies of Win7 like the Vista program did.Not a guarantee, but hey :p So... Anyone who downloaded the public beta and sent in just one piece of feedback? Wouldn't that be millions of people? What about the people who downloaded every build from PDC onward and sent feedback, even if they weren't supposed to actually have the build? M_Lyons10
This is very cool. Can I ask how you sign up for the Windows Feedback Program through the Windows 7 beta Community Preview Program? I have been sending bugs in for the Beta, but didn't sign up for anything... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, it says that you submitted data for the RC for at least 4 months. But the submit feedback tool is hidden in the RC... Do they mean the Beta? Thanks,

But the submit feedback tool is hidden in the RC... Do they mean the Beta? Thanks, It's not the same thing. The Windows Feedback Program is a program. It gathers usage data from your computer and sends it to Microsoft for analysis. The enrollment was in January and ended in February. You can go to http://wfp.microsoft.com/Welcome.aspx and sign up for future enrollments, though. (There is also an Office Feedback Program.) I got an invite in January, but I signed up for the Windows XP WFP years ago. So... Anyone who downloaded the public beta and sent in just one piece of feedback? Wouldn't that be millions of people? What about the people who downloaded every build from PDC onward and sent feedback, even if they weren't supposed to actually have the build? No, just the technical beta on Connect. It's common for Microsoft to give away copies of the OS or Office to tech beta participants that were active during the beta period. (They used to be strict about it and require you submit an install survey for all milestones that were shipped to you and filed at least one bug.)
