Wakers
On my desktop: Win 7 RC x64 AMD X2 6000+ X1950 PRO 256mb PCI-E version 4gb DDR2 RAM ASUS M2V-MX Mobo Trying to run the wei always results in the error 'video playback performance could not be calculated'. I've tried it with the default ms graphics drivers, the DNA 9.3 drivers and now the vista 9.1 drivers, same error all the time. I tried a fix that involved messing around with the performance folder in the Windows folder, no effect. Kind of stuck now, but I want to know the ratings for my hardware. Eric Veteran Posted May 13, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 13, 2009 How old is that video card? Maybe it doesn't support something Windows 7 needs?
Wakers
Its maybe 18-24 months old, its was the last DX9 card they released, so its aging, but still a pretty decent card (especially for ?30!!), and it was able to score quite high on the Vista WEI. It also runs aero and runs all the games I want just great, its just a bit annoying because the graphics section of the WEI won't work, it won't rate the other hardware either. I wish they would allow you to run the WEI on hardware seperately.
Eric Veteran Posted May 13, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 13, 2009 I agree it should test the other components. The one that failed should appear in red or just with a 0.0 score.
Wakers
Argh no, don't give it a 0, then it would turn aero off :p Just leave it as untested or put error there would be best I think. Better idea, does anyone else have the card, and have a successful WEI score for it?
