Grex
Running Windows 7 RC x64. Last night at some time my machine rebotted. I think because of some updates that it had downloaded. I say this because when i left it, it was currently downloading some. Well when the machine rebotted i got a BOOTMGR not found error. Found out that my Raid 0 array was offline and one of the disks was showing up as disconnected or failed. I think the disk just failed as i tried pluging the disk into another machine and running some diagnostics on it from the manufacturer (WD) and it won't even recognize the drive. But I am also thinking it could have been the update. I tried deleting the RAID 0 and seeing if I could recreate it, but it still will not recognize the disk. Anyone have any ideas? Its still under warranty so i am probably just going to RMA it.
Raa
I'm afraid you've got a dead one there mate :( RMA's the only thing you can do if the drive won't recognise. It's pure co-incidence that you were doing an update when it failed, that's the nature of hard drives... darn things lol
