Chsoriano
I've been noticing that my performance in Crysis has been somewhat lower than I remember (drops to 12fps at times). Considering I haven't played the game in a month or two I wasn't sure what could be the cause. I've tried the 9.3, 9.4, and 9.5 Catalyst drivers, and all had the same issue. I finally tried running the 32bit version of the game and all the problems disappeared, my FPS are always above 24 now and max out at 60-72 in places. Has anyone seen similar performance issues? I was hoping someone might have some advice or a clue as to why this might be.
Radiance_Wes
Wierd, have you tried reinstalling the thing altogether?
Chsoriano
Wierd, have you tried reinstalling the thing altogether? Yeah, and I've even happened to reformat since. I'm seeing the same problem even after a clean install of Windows. I am running the RC of Win7, but I don't think that's the problem.
Thirtythree
You aren't using FRAPS to detect your framerates are you?
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted May 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2009 I haven't tried Crysis in 64-bit mode; however, I did try Crysis Warhead. The game felt smoother with less drops in performance. And I guess that was to be expected because the 32-bit version would only make use of 2-3GB of RAM. My system has 8GB of RAM and I certainly noticed a difference. I can't think of any reason why it would run significantly worse than the 32-bit version. What are your system specifications? Perhaps that will shed more light on the issue.
