Rogo Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Was installing some programme and ****ed around with the settings not knowing what i was doing. Now practically everything on my computer trys to open in internet explorer.... if i click something like System Restore to open.... 50+ internet explorer windows open and kills my computer. Firefox works. thats about it... So far ive tried Uninstalling Internet Explorer. no joy System restore... couldnt even open it Changing it through Regedit, no joy. You can "right click then open with" because theyre .exe's Tried system restore from Startup... says there is no restore dates. HELP! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, it sounds as though you need to restore your file associations (starting with .exe).
