Wacky Notepad?

Recommended Posts

I really can't tell you why it happens, but I've noticed that before (even in 98) when opening some linux-created files in notepad.

However using my usual editor, editpad, solved the problem. www.jgsoft.com The "classic" version is freeware. It's worth getting just to use control+s for a save hotkey, if nothing else :)

Actually, I get this all the time too, also in 95/98/ME. (I don't have XP.)

And, Lakitu7, I alos get around this...problem... by opening files in

my old text editor stand-by, EDIT.COM.

(BTW, I thought Windows 2000 had an enhanced Notepad

with keyboard shortcuts?)

Change the font?! You can't! Its Notepad (And Notepad for Windows 9x/Me at that!)

That's one reason why there are so many Notepad replacements/alternatives out there.

(Unless there's some sort of Registry hack out there... I seem to remember there being one...)
