Lakitu7
I really can't tell you why it happens, but I've noticed that before (even in 98) when opening some linux-created files in notepad. However using my usual editor, editpad, solved the problem. www.jgsoft.com The "classic" version is freeware. It's worth getting just to use control+s for a save hotkey, if nothing else :)
Angel Blue01
Actually, I get this all the time too, also in 95/98/ME. (I don't have XP.) And, Lakitu7, I alos get around this...problem... by opening files in my old text editor stand-by, EDIT.COM. (BTW, I thought Windows 2000 had an enhanced Notepad with keyboard shortcuts?) KnifeFace
try to change the font to another one.
Angel Blue01
Change the font?! You can't! Its Notepad (And Notepad for Windows 9x/Me at that!) That's one reason why there are so many Notepad replacements/alternatives out there. (Unless there's some sort of Registry hack out there... I seem to remember there being one...)
