duntkno
Is anyone else getting this? where any video I play comes out looking pixelated, media player classic. zoom player, vlc. Except on WMP, it looks fine. Anyone know why that is and is there any work around? Maybe if I adjust some settings or something.
GusValentine
I'm assuming you installed the latest video card drivers. This happens when the player doesn't scale the video properly. Have you tried different renderers, such as EVR Custom, VMR9 Renderless, Direct3D(VLC, KMPlayer) Try these in MPC-HC http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/ http://www.xvidvideo.ru/ If you have a fast connection, it wouldn't hurt to download DirectX Redist. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...07-c693d210f616

Raa
DirectX in Win7 should already be the latest and shouldn't need to be installed. Check your drivers and renderers first. But I like WMP for videos myself ;)
giga Veteran Posted May 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 17, 2009 MPC options and change the output to EVR or VMR9.

GusValentine
Windows 7 comes with DirectX 11, but I just like to make sure, nothing is missing, backwards compatibility etc. Most likely you don't need to update it, but I have a fast connection, so I don't mind always updating it. When using EVR Custom, or VMR9, the video may be washed out, lacking contrast, and blacks aren't deep, in this case try one of the "0-255 to 16-235" shaders. Try both EVR renderers to see how they look (EVR Custom sometimes drops a lot of frames).

Techno_Funky
I had to download Win7 specific drivers for my Nvidia Card to solve this problem, especially for VLC.
Flaggie
When I updated to the latest driver's from nvidia I got this problem. Still have it and have not found the solution yet. Tried to get some old drivers but couldn't download them because my laptop froze. It really sucks.
Flaggie
Just reverted to my very very old vista drivers from the manufacturer of my laptop and the pixelated video's are gone, now playing normally again.
