If you're running Windows 7, then that's the problem. Most programs packaged with Thinapp will simply crash on Windows 7.

I have not tried any of my thinapps on windows 7 but I was thinking about making an msi pack and use terminal services.....

I got to the build step and get "build failed" xp pro vm from technet worked well for other thinapps

There are several options for portable office 2010.

The free Office 2010 Starter Edition can create USB vesions of Word and Excel which can be moved to various PC's on a usb stick. It works.

You can thinapp pre-release versions of Office 2010 since they were stripped of the Office Protectiion Service.

To thinapp final versions of Office 2010 use Microsoft's use Microsoft's App-V virtualization to virtualize the Office Protection Service. Then it will accept KMS server licenses with the Thinapp versions of O2010.

If you have access to App-V 4.6 SP1, it introduced a cool feature called Package Accelerators which make the job of sequencing complex software packages much easier. MS supplies an Office 2010 package accelerator on their website, so it is very easy to sequence Office 2010 now.
