Cloud Constructors
I am trying to find a MacBook Unibody for cheap like around the $1000-$1100CAD mark. I've seen alot of people selling their macbook unbodies and I hope to snag one up as my primary computer - they are beautiful machines. Anyway, should I buy now or save up more and buy something better at WWDC? Thanks

Cloud Constructors
Cool, I am hoping for a refresh too but the MacBooks's product cycle is nearing to an end in October - so we may see an update then.
Vice
They won't be updating them at WWDC. You will see an update around September this year. They just released the 17" in February and they updated the 15" in March with 8GB of RAM support and faster Processors so they won't be touching them in June you can be sure of that. sujmano
I'd say wait i hate buying something and spending a lot only to find out its obsolete a month or two later

NeoXY
WWDC is in 3 weeks or so isn't it? Might as well. It all depend on when you need the machine. If you don't care when you get it, you can wait forever if you want. But you know...than you'd never have a computer. But I doubt anything serious is coming. Maybe a bump by a few hundred MHz at best...slightly upped HD. Nothing you'll really miss I reckon.

KeR
If I had to give a percentage for how likely it is that there will be an update at WWDC; I'd say 10%. Its very unlikely that the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air will be updated any-time soon.
MrA
Macbooks will be refreshed in the fall. Macbooks get updated twice a year, not once. The major update's in the fall, but a minor spec bump is due about now. EDIT: Oh, and the white Macbook got a minor spec bump the other day, so it's not hard to image the unibody ones getting a bump too.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted May 28, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 28, 2009 Think its pretty obvious you'd wait when the event is only a few weeks away, even if only for a minor speed boost.
