Calum Veteran Posted May 20, 2009 Veteran Share Posted May 20, 2009 I've searched for similar threads but I couldn't seem to find any. I have build 7100 of Windows 7, the official release candidate, and I can't seem to find device stage or get it working when I plug my iPod touch in (or my digital camera for that matter). I understand it's a matter of the device supporting the right APIs and it won't happen unless the developer updates the device, however, I was wondering if anyone knows for sure whether the iPod touch supports it or not at this time? If so, how would I get it working? If it doesn't, is there a way to see a list of compatible devices for it? I'd love to know if my Samsung digital camera supports it. Finally, along with Device Stage being compatible with my iPod touch, does anybody know how I can possibly get Windows Media Player to sync to my iPod touch and be able to add/delete songs off of my iPod touch through Windows Media Player? I have recently switched to using Windows Media Player in the past couple of days for a multitude of reasons and would rather not use iTunes, or another media player, to be honest. Any help on these issues will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Calum.

HawkMan
Yeah apple is unlikely to support anything cool on other platforms, well not untill they reinvent it as something completely new, yet completely identical to what MS did, only slower, slower to user, less features and with some fancy graphics and cal it a revolutionary new invention. As for other devices, I doubt you'll see many companies supporting device stage on their old devices, unless they are still being actively sold, even then I suspect they may hold out for the next version of the device and use it as a argument to upgrade.
