rwphilips
I have a MSI Wind netbook running XP Home and I have a separate partition available. I would like to install Windows 7 on that partition in a dual boot format but the netbook does not have a CD/DVD drive and I don't have an external one. I believe in order to set up a dual boot you need to "boot" from the Windows 7 RC DVD. I can only get tot he DVD from another computer on my network. Any ideas how to accomplish this??? thanks
Dreamspell
Mount the .iso with VirtualCloneDrive while in XP and install onto another partition. Or just extract the contents of the DVD into a folder while in XP and run the setup.exe.
duhdrummer
Grab a memory stick and put Windows 7 on there. http://blogs.technet.com/aviraj/archive/20...humb-drive.aspx
surrealvortex
The above tutorial does not work on xp. This one does though. http://www.bwana.org/2009/01/11/how-to-ins...-without-vista/ I would suggest installing from usb as it is faster than the other method.
