0graham0
Hi, I have Windows 7 RC1 (Build 7100) x64 running on a computer with a Sigmatel sound card. The drivers for Vista x64 install and work perfectly. However there is a tray icon which installs with the drivers through which you can adjust the audio card properties. This app does not appear in the tray. The exact application name is sttray64.exe . It appears in msconfig as a startup program, and appears in the process manager as a running application. If I attempt to customize which icons appear in the tray it does not show up in the list. I have tried ending the process and then running the app as administrator and in compatibility mode with no success. Has anyone had any luck getting this app to work? iaTa
The option to either show or hide the tray icon is set in the driver installation inf file. Try these: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index....90&hl=sound
0graham0
Thanks iaTa. I gave the newest drivers at that link a whirl and the sound card gave the error "Device cannot start." I reinstalled the Vista x64 drivers for the time being, but will give the whole forum at that link a read, there seems to be a fair amount of info on there. I'll post again if I stumble upon any new developments. Thanks again for your help.
