Littlemutt
Anyone else running MS Office 2007 on Win7 RC 7100 build ? I just installed Office 2007 yesterday, and only been using Win7 about 3 -4 days, taking things slow. I notice when I delete an email that the CPU goes 100% and churns for several seconds before the mail is deleted. I've not done any real troubleshooting as I don't know where to start. Ii do have a rather large .pst file that I imported 193meg, but not sure if I should maybe delete some 3,000+ emails that I've been lugging around, if that would speed up things. EDIT: I should note that on the Vista SP1 HP side of my dual-boot set up, Outlook 2007 runs quick as a bunny, files are gone as soon as I hit 'delete' , no thrashing or high CPU. dcghost
Might have been a bad OS or Office install. This is the first I have heard of that issue and I have been running Office 07 on Win7 since beta...no probs. I would try to reinstall office first. Littlemutt
193megs isnt that big.Did you install the office 2007 service pack 2? Yes, fully up to day, SP2 really made a huge difference on the Vista side. I was just sitting here thinking, I may just delete the .pst file and re-import it. Trying to remember, this old system is getting long in the tooth, and it BSOD's frequently, and I think, I remember the system crashing during the import... This old machine will BSOD during high-loads and activity... I won't have to mess with it for long, as I am going to talk wife into a new machine any day now... :)
Subject Delta
I use Outlook 2007 with SP2. Loaded an email heavy in graphics, and memory use peaked at about 30 megs. Also, no lag whatsoever emails delete instantly for me, empty folders is also pretty quick. Edit: If you get a lot of BSODing (especially when doing something as mundane as importing a backup archive), it could be an indication that one or more pieces of hardware in your rig is on its way to failure. jakem1
I also use Outlook 2007 SP2 and don't have that specific problem. However, I have a problem accessing my Hotmail account. The account is setup properly (I've been on Hotmail long enough to be able to access my account in Outlook with additional connectors/fees) but every time I try to access it I'm prompted to enter verify my credentials 3 times. This sometimes happens when moving from one message to another in that account. I don't have any problems with my Exchange account and I don't have this problem in Vista, just Windows 7. Is anyone else having this problem?

shockz
I've noticed sending and receiving via imap takes forever. It usually stops responding, greys out, and then 40 seconds later works again.
