I'm writing an app that's attempting to match up user defined time-stamps with a video file. What it needs to do is take the user defined time stamps (can be several) and take 5 seconds of footage either side of that time stamp and then paste all of the snippets together into one video.
I have seen this been done before using VirtualDub scripting I believe.
I was wondering if anyone could kick me off in the right direction? Is VirtualDub the best way to go? Is there better documentation on the scripting interface than the one on sourceforge?

I'm predominantly a VB.NET guy.
