OrangeFTW
I'm considering reformatting and trying Windows 7, mostly because I like to do clean installs usually monthly or every 2 months just to keep my comp clean. I am hearing tons of good stuff about Windows 7, especially performance improvements and driver compatibility. Now I'm just wondering, what doesn't work? Are there many softwares incompatible with 7? Or does it have similar compatibility to Vista?
Livin in a box
Similar, if only a bit less than Vista. You should try it- get 7127 or 7100, whichever.

notuptome2004
you should not have any issue by default but if you dfo that is why ya have 2 different options 1. is to use the compatibility mode 2. is to download Windows XP mode Virtual windows XP that is available for windows 7 and then ya should not have an issue at all . OrangeFTW
Already done what? Installed Win7?There's only one way to find out for sure :) Both that and checked the advisor. It said no problems except for some extinct drivers. Totally blew me away that it actually had support for my LAN built in. Windows 7 is nice but confusing at first. x-o you should not have any issue by default but if you dfo that is why ya have 2 different options 1. is to use the compatibility mode 2. is to download Windows XP mode Virtual windows XP that is available for windows 7 and then ya should not have an issue at all . That reminds me, where do I get that?
